National Reliability Trends
Electric power system reliability affects the economic health of the U.S. economy and the well-being of its citizens. EMP conducts authoritative analyses of reliability performance trends and their economic significance. This research evaluates the U.S electricity system’s reliability and assesses the economic impacts of power interruptions to the U.S. economy and electricity consumers. Peer-reviewed, scientific studies seek to quantify and explain reliability trends and to measure the economic impacts of reliability from the perspective of the costs that power interruptions impose on businesses and residences.
