Projections of Spending and Energy Savings
Projections of Spending and Energy Savings
The EMP department periodically publishes projections of energy efficiency activities funded by utility customers. We develop policy and program funding scenarios and then use those scenarios to model efficiency program spending and energy savings over a 10- to 15-year time horizon. These projections are based on state-by-state review of efficiency policies, regulatory filings and evaluations, as well as data we collect for other efficiency projects. To define the scenarios and refine our projections for a state-by-state assessment, we augment this extensive document and data review with interviews of state regulators, the efficiency industry and other experts.
