EMP Group Opening: Energy Efficiency Program Manager
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (Berkeley Lab) is seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Program Manager to direct and conduct technical, economic, and policy research and analysis and provide technical assistance to policymakers and regulators.
The Opportunity
Berkeley Lab is increasing the impact of applied policy and technical research that results in transformational energy and environmental solutions. The Electricity Markets and Policy Group (EMP) is responsible for conducting technical, economic, and policy analysis of energy topics centered on U.S. energy markets. EMP’s research and assistance to government agencies seeks to inform public policy and regulatory initiatives as well as support private sector decision-making on public-interest issues related to energy efficiency and demand response, renewable energy, electricity resource and transmission planning, retail energy markets and electricity reliability.
Position Overview
The Energy Efficiency Program Manager will direct and conduct energy efficiency research, analysis and technical assistance projects in the EMP Group. The successful candidate will lead work that will have an impact on state and national end-use energy efficiency policy and its implementation.
