Informing utility-scale energy generation and storage decisions
Regulatory & Program Analysis
We work to inform the regulations, programs, planning and permitting processes that impact utility-scale generation and storage technologies.
Through our objective research, EMP informs the regulations, programs, planning and permitting processes that impact utility-scale generation and storage. This includes evaluating generation programs, regulations, and plans in terms of their implications for energy affordability, reliability, and other key metrics. It also includes collecting and evaluating empirical data on the timelines and outcomes of utility-scale generation permitting processes to identify opportunities to reduce delays and bottlenecks
