Analyzing emerging issues in distributed energy and storage
Market Tracking & Analysis
We track and analyze key trends in distributed energy and storage markets by collecting and publishing foundational data and conducting topical studies on emerging issues.
Distributed energy and storage markets are rapidly evolving. To help inform industry decision-makers and provide a resource for other researchers, EMP annually updates and publishes U.S. Distributed Solar and Storage Data, an extensive dataset with project-level details on millions of individual systems installed nationwide. Drawing in part on those data, EMP conducts topical research on key issues in distributed energy and storage markets, including analyses of cost and pricing trends, system performance, adoption in new residential construction, and customer protection issues, among others.
